Memory Lane, Again

Project Type

Acrylic Paint + Digital Illustrations

Date

May 2025

This piece explore the hardest transition of my life: an absence representing change, uncertainty, and helplessness. Through this work, I processed difficult emotions and reaffirmed that while circumstances shift, the memories and feelings tied to them remain. The city scene is painted in acrylic paint, while the quote elements are added digitally: the orange ‘I’ represents my younger self — the child who still walks down memory lane. It breaks the uniform yellow text to suggest how memory and identity are never completely grown-up or consistent; a bit of that child always bleeds through. This piece exemplifies my purpose in art: preserving fleeting moments, holding onto what might otherwise slip away.
